This Privacy Policy describes how Digital Receipt Scanner ("Gurz", "the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information.

## 1. Information We Collect

**Account information.** When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (handled securely by Firebase Authentication; we never see or store your raw password).

**Receipt data.** Images you scan or import (via camera or photo library), and the data extracted from them — store name, date, amount, line items, and category. Receipt images are processed by Google
Cloud Vision API (OCR) to extract this data.

**Budget and spending data.** Budgets, categories, and spending summaries you create or that are derived from your receipts.

**Device and push notification data.** A device token used to deliver notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging.

**Purchase information.** If you subscribe to Gurz Pro, the purchase is processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card details — we only receive
confirmation of an active subscription from Apple/Google.

## 2. How We Use Your Information

- To provide core app functionality: scanning, storing, and organizing your receipts
- To generate spending analytics and budget insights
- To authenticate your account and sync your data across sessions
- To send you notifications you've opted into
- To provide and manage your Gurz Pro subscription

## 3. How We Store Your Information

Your data is stored using Google Firebase services:

- **Firebase Authentication** — account credentials
- **Firebase Realtime Database** — receipt data, budgets, and profile information
- **Firebase Storage** — receipt images

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to your data is restricted to your authenticated account.

## 4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

- **Google Cloud Vision API** — processes receipt images to extract text (OCR)
- **Firebase (Google)** — authentication, database, storage, and push notifications
- **Apple App Store / Google Play** — payment processing for subscriptions

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

## 5. Permissions We Request

- **Camera** — to scan physical receipts
- **Photo Library** — to import existing receipt photos and optionally save scanned receipts
- **Notifications** — to send you spending alerts and reminders (optional)

Gurz does not collect or use your location. Any location permission declared by the app is present only because of a bundled third-party library and is not used to collect location data.

## 6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete individual receipts at any time within the app. To request full account and data deletion, contact us at the email below — we wil
l delete your account data within 30 days.

## 7. Children's Privacy

Gurz is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

## 8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
